DESCRIPTION
The Director of Library Services provides leadership and vision for the library. The Director is expected to represent the library within the community, develop programs, develop collections, provide budgeting information, and manage all library staff, facilities, and services. The Director of Library Services organizes, directs, and promotes the activities and programs of the library to the College and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. from an institutionally accredited college or university
3+ of experience working in an academic library setting such as a community college or other similar setting is preferred
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
A robust understanding of the principles of library science and technological developments in a modern library
An understanding of organizational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs
Knowledge of library database searching, research processes, and active learning as applied to information literacy frameworks

$57,000.00 - $67,000.00 / ANNUALLY
