Description: The Director manages, plans and supervises activities associated with the physical security of the Duke University Libraries (DUL). The DUL includes the Perkins, Bostock, and Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Libraries on West Campus, the Lilly and Music Libraries on East Campus, Smith Warehouse (Bays 9 –11), the Library Service Center (LSC) and the Pearse Memorial Library at the Duke Marine Laboratory in Beaufort, NC (DUML). The Director monitors and performs a variety of activities associated with the maintenance and environmental conditions of the DUL facilities. The Director also oversees distribution services that include the receipt and delivery of mail and materials.
Qualifications: Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience; valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Salary: $76,000 - $84,000
