Description: The Electronic Resources and Discovery Librarian provides innovation and expertise for the acquisition, ongoing management, and access to the Duke University Medical Center Library & Archives collection of electronic journals, databases, and books. Under the direction of the Associate Director for Content and Discovery, the Electronic Resources and Discovery Librarian supports the discovery of the Library's resources across multiple systems and serves as the expert for issues related to electronic resources access. In addition, the Electronic Resources and Discovery Librarian contributes to collection assessment and development through selection, review, data analysis, and other activities.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Library/Information Science or equivalent combination of other education and experience. In-depth knowledge of library resource management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills. Strong customer service commitment. Flexible, open-minded, analytical, and adaptable to new technologies. Experience with an ILS. Knowledge of metadata and cataloging standards.
