Description: The Emerging Technologies Librarian I is responsible for a variety of technology related work duties as they relate to the Library’s day to day service to the public as well as the staff. Emphasis is on providing training, leadership, programs, services, and resources related to technology. Technology may include equipment, devices, online services such as Hoopla, Overdrive, other digital content, the library’s website, and more. Ideal candidates will possess a full understanding of emerging technologies and their application within library settings. In addition, possess a solid knowledge of library and digital resources and have the ability to lead, motivate and train staff.
Qualifications: MLS from an accredited program and the ability to acquire a NC Public Librarians certificate or Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of increasingly responsible public library experience. Experience with computer applications or other automated systems Possesses sufficient experience to understand the principles relevant to the job duties.
Salary: $45,640 - $54,768
