Description: The Engagement Librarian I will be responsible for providing library services and programming for adult community members, inside and outside of the library as well as virtually. This position works to meet the programming needs of adults in our community, and will work as a liaison between the library and local businesses, service organizations, and residents. The successful candidate will be a community-oriented professional who is enthusiastic about promoting the library to a broader audience; is actively engaged with new technologies; possesses an aptitude to skillfully manage projects; enjoys direct public service to adults of all ages; and has a firm grasp of current and emerging library trends. The successful candidate will also be experienced and enthusiastic about event planning, marketing and publicity, and social media, particularly in a public library.
Qualifications: A four year degree or an equivalent combination of experience and training North Carolina driver’s license acquired within 30 days of employment Prospective employee is required to submit to and pass a drug test prior to employment.
Salary: $16.50 per hour
