Evening Librarian - Borden Mace Library, NC School of Science & Mathematics

Description: NCSSM and the Borden Mace Library foster an environment of collaboration across departments and divisions and support community-engaged service and research. The Evening Librarian will work Tuesday, Thursday, 4pm - 10 pm, Sunday 2pm - 10 pm while students are on campus. Days and working hours when students are not on campus can be negotiated with the Library Director to equal the required 20 hours/week. Responsibilities include: keeping students and staff safe in the library space; supervising the Circulation Desk and Campus Service students; providing a full range of information services; assisting faculty, staff, and students in the use of physical and digital collections; responding to inquiries in-person and on the library chat; collecting use statistics of digital resources, issuing overdue notices, assisting in the textbook room or Academic Programs as needed and other duties as assigned by the Library Director.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Masters Degree in Library or Library and Information Science preferred. A student near the end of their MLS program is acceptable.
