Description: Hunter Library at Western Carolina University is seeking a dedicated Front-end Web Developer to join our Web Services Unit. This role involves supporting the library's web presence, maintaining and developing the main website, and developing custom sites. The person in this position will also be responsible for maintaining, updating, and designing relational databases with MySQL and SQL for data management. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, web page updates, providing training on software applications, and collaborating with library staff on web-related projects. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and have experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and web publishing tools. Qualifications: Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area. Related information technology experience may be substituted for the required education. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, and have experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and web publishing tools.

Salary: $57, 200
