Position Description: An employee in this class performs as a senior department head and works directly with the administration in the development and implementation of region-wide special projects, long-range planning, and procedural improvements for the entire region. Duties also include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, and directing the overall activities of the Information Services department, collection development, general reference, maintaining statistical profiles, and overseeing the preparation of adult programming.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution, North Carolina Public Librarian Certification Eligibility, North Carolina driver’s license acquired within 30 days of employment, and background check and drug test prior to employment.
