Description: The City of Roanoke Rapids is seeking a qualified professional to lead daily operations of our public library as Head Librarian. The Head Librarian performs managerial, technical and administrative work in directing library programming that provides educational, informational, recreational and cultural reading opportunities for local citizens.
Qualifications: Master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited university. Must be eligible for NC Public Library Certification Minimum of 3 years administrative experience preferred; extensive experience with budgeting, automation and programming. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff members and library patrons. Ability to communicate effectively.
