Description: Reporting to the Assistant Director for Public Services, the Head of Music leads a team providing outstanding service to ECU students, faculty, staff, and the community. The Head of the Music Library is responsible for the development of the music collections; oversight of public and technical services; staff supervision, consisting of one faculty librarian and two full-time support staff members; facilities planning; music reference and bibliographic instruction; campus and community outreach; acting as a liaison with the School of Music; participating in appropriate library, university, and professional committees.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or international equivalent. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Music or a related field. 3 years of library experience, including public service responsibilities. Supervisory experience. Demonstrated knowledge of music resources.
