Description: The mission of the Charles Waddell Chesnutt Library at Fayetteville State University is to support the University in its educational, research and cultural endeavors through careful selection, acquisition, organization, and interpretation of information resources. In addition, the Chesnutt Library assumes its special role as a major cultural resource for the community and the region at large. Provide vision and strategic direction to all public services departments to strengthen the liberal education process. This position will be assigned a lead role in implementing new initiatives for the library, as well as the evaluation, improvement of existing systems, processes and procedures, especially related to public services and library outreach initiatives.

Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library and information science program. Demonstrated experience in public services. Three years or more of supervisory experience in library services.
