Description: Develops Reference Department policies and procedures and coordinates the library Liaison team via meetings and setting team directions. Teaches library research instruction in face-to-face classroom settings, as well as remotely via video conference platforms. Maintains the Reference Desk as a service contact point for students and provides research services via email, phone, chat, and video conference to a large day student population and a growing graduate population. Works with liaison team members to develop, coordinate, and teach research workshops for students and faculty and maintains an online presence via libguides, social media, email, and other digital methods. Acts as collection development advocate for the collection in general, both physical and virtual and coordinates collection development among the library liaisons. Familiarity with library-oriented computer software such as Libguides, LibraryH3lp (chat), OCLC Discovery, as well as videoconferencing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and online databases. Maintains positive work atmosphere and communicates effectively.
Qualifications: Two years library instruction and/or teaching experience. Experience working in an academic library setting with a strong orientation toward instruction and reference services. Robust written and oral communications skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the library and University community. Strong organizational skills plus an attention to detail.
