Description:
High Point University seeks a librarian to work as a liaison to our health sciences programs on the university campus. Current programs include Pharmacy, PA, Nursing and Dentistry.
This person will work with other subject liaisons to provide instruction and research help to students and faculty. They will evaluate and suggest potential acquisitions of health sciences library materials. Along with other members of the library services team, they will maintain the Learning Commons at the Wanek Center as a study and research space. They are a member of the library management team, and this librarian may also serve on committees as they relate to the library, the University, and broader academic community.

Qualifications:
The candidate should have experience using information resources in the health sciences. They should know citation methods and have some knowledge of citation software tools – HPU uses Endnote. A working knowledge of library programs that support reference and instruction services is a plus as is a knowledge of evidence-based practice and research methodology used in the health sciences. Strong oral and written communications skills are important as well.
