Description: Randall Library at UNC Wilmington seeks a Humanities Librarian to serve as liaison librarian to academic units in the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts, currently comprising the following units: Creative Writing, English, Film Studies, Music, Philosophy & Religion, Theatre, Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, and World Languages & Cultures. The Humanities Librarian is a member of Randall Library’s Academic & Research Engagement division, which collaborates with faculty, staff, and students in UNCW academic units to provide information literacy instruction, assist with research, develop the library collection, provide consultative services supporting research and scholarly communication, and partner on programming, in alignment with the information and research needs of campus constituents. Library faculty in this division proactively engage with campus constituents to promote the use of library services, facilities, materials, and expertise. This is an 11-month non-tenure track special faculty position reporting to the Head of Liaison Librarian Services. 

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information sciences required. Preferred qualifications include knowledge or experience with academic areas within arts and/ or humanities; knowledge of emerging practices in liaison librarianship; ability to learn or experience creating online learning objects; ability to work independently and in a team; effective communication skills. 

Salary: $52,192.00
