Description: The Humanities Librarian works closely with campus and external partners to build interdisciplinary partnerships that best serve the research, teaching, and learning needs of Carolina’s faculty and students. The librarian supports research, teaching, and scholarly communication in a variety of humanities and related disciplines through specialized research consultations; inclusive and student-centric instruction; course development; advocacy and support for sustainable scholarship; and through partnership with library colleagues to build inclusive collections in the humanities. Additionally, the librarian will engage in scholarship and service within the libraries, on campus, in the Triangle, nationally, and internationally as appropriate. Throughout, the Librarian will prioritize the University Libraries pillars: Student Success, Preservation, and the Research Enterprise as well as key library initiatives such as Reckoning, Sustainable Scholarship and Data Science.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MIS, MLS, or other advanced relevant degree.
