Description: The Humanities Librarian engages with the faculty, students, and staff of assigned academic departments in the humanities at the University of North Carolina Wilmington to provide information literacy instruction and research support. This liaison librarian position is also responsible for ensuring that the library’s collections adequately support the curricular and research needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the departments it serves.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information science. Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in academic libraries. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on teams and independently. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive educational environment and workplace. Demonstrated knowledge of research tools in the humanities.
