Description: ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center is a one-of-a-kind destination for youth located in Charlotte, NC. This collaborative effort between the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is a facility noted by Livability.com as the number one children’s library in the United States. ImaginOn is visited by more than 300,000 people annually and features two state-of-the-art theatres, a library space for children 11 years old and under, a teen library, a multimedia production studio, interactive exhibit space and four multi-use classrooms In addition to being responsible for the daily operations of this flagship of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library System, including supervising, training, scheduling staff, providing information and services, and modeling superior customer service, this position will be a leader in the collaboration with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, a nationally recognized arts and education organization and a champion for the Partnership whose mission is “Bringing Stories to Life!”
Qualifications: Seven years of increasing supervisory, management, and leadership roles and a Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Studies or other degree(s) in education, arts, or organizational administration or related fields. A combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted.
Salary: $83,042 – $103,802
