Information Services & Collection Manager - Central Library, Greensboro Public Libraries

Description: The employee in this position will provide: 1) in their role as Collection Development Manager, leadership in and coordination of all development, maintenance, promotion, and evaluation activities for all print, electronic, online, and special collections of the Greensboro Public Library system, as well as supervision of Technical Services staff who perform acquisitions; and 2) in their role as Information Services Manager, leadership, coordination, and supervision of all reference services provided by Information Services staff at Central Library, and typically manages and materials budget of $800K to $1 million. The incumbent should also be well-acquainted with current trends in information use in public libraries. Strong communications, organizational, and presentation skills are also required. Some familiarity with statistical analysis in order to evaluate trends in the use of the Library collection is also critical. The incumbent should also evince a strong commitment to working in an urban setting with diverse groups.

Qualifications: Master’s degree with 4 or more years' professional librarian work experience in a public library or Bachelor's Degree with 10 or more years' professional librarian work experience in a public library. 4+ years' supervisory experience. 3+ years’ of current experience in collection development, acquisitions, and oversight of a substantial budget.

Salary: $46,532.00 - $77,554
