Description: Under general supervision, performs administrative, supervisory and professional work for the County Library by managing Information Services for county residents. Work involves selection and supervision of employees and volunteers assigned to the Reference Department. Employee is responsible for selection of print and digital resources for the library reference & adult nonfiction collections, including managing the reference department budget. Evaluates use of collection and removes or replaces lost, damaged or underused materials and resources. Works directly with vendors of print and digital resources. Prepares instructional programs and promotional materials for information services. Prepares statistical and evaluative reports on use of information resources and services. Employee must exercise a very high degree of initiative and independent judgment in all aspects of the performance of job functions. Employee must have excellent communication skills and exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with the public. Reports directly to the Library Director.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science; three (3) to five (5) years of library experience preferred; one (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Salary: $52,987.87 - $82,661.07
