Description: The Instruction and Outreach Librarian for Special Collections collaborates with teaching faculty, librarians, and students to design and deliver innovative instructional and research services featuring rare books, manuscripts, archives, and other unique materials, across the full range of disciplines. The position will: explore new approaches in experiential teaching and learning to engage students in research and critical interpretation using special collections materials; work closely with librarians and teaching faculty to design and lead course-embedded teaching collaborations, including instruction sessions and extracurricular workshops introducing students and other campus community members to special collections materials, critical archival literacy, and research skills; conduct outreach to the university community promoting access to and use of special collections materials in all formats; engage faculty, student organizations, and campus partners in opportunities to document and share the stories of historically marginalized individuals and groups at the university.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent advanced degree.
Salary: $68,000
