Description:
This is a two-year time-limited position with UNCW Library.
The ILS Project Manager will oversee the migration from Sierra to Alma, part of a multi-phase project across the UNC System. This position is pivotal, acting as both technical lead and project manager for a team comprising members from various library units. This encompass initial project planning, extensive data migration, review and integration of essential library systems, revision of workflows, creation of a training plan, implementation of the new platform, and post-implementation evaluation.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive project plan
- Leading the ILS migration and ensuring seamless performance
- Collaborating with library, University, and UNC system stakeholders
- Monitoring system performance during all phases of the migration
- Documenting ILS policies, procedures, and configurations
- Developing training and communication plans
- Addressing system issues and responding to support tickets
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and experience in ILS administration and project management required. Preferred: 3+ years in project management, previous ILS migration experience, and demonstrated experience developing training activities. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills needed.
