Description: Provides books, articles, media, and other resources from ECU Libraries to outside libraries. Assists in locating and providing resources from outside libraries and other suppliers and vendors to ECU students, faculty, and staff. Assistance is given to libraries and patrons seeking help in person, by phone, and by email. Request citations are verified using online library resources and then retrieved from the library’s holdings or sent to identified outside libraries and vendors for fulfillment. Invoices for materials provided and for items lost or damaged are handled. Processing materials for shipping and upon return, physically searching library collections, scanning materials, and performing other manual duties are required. This position supervises the work of student assistants performing interlibrary loan tasks. The position also serves patrons at the Circulation desk.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Completion of a bachelor’s degree, academic research experience, and experience providing interlibrary loan services and using ILL management systems preferred.
