Description: The Systems Administrator position assists in facilitating architectural design, implementation, administration, automation, and maintenance activities for University Libraries IT infrastructure and various technologies deployed to support this infrastructure in a highly collaborative and cross-team culture. Responsibilities also include project leadership and consultation across technical platforms and departmental boundaries, and systems maintenance and performance management. This position may interact with customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems related to the use of single and/or multiple information systems. Additionally, work may include the creation, installation, and modification of software and hardware, testing, documentation, and administration of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Qualifications: Production and development deployment experience of RedHat Enterprise Linux. Experience deploying servers in a virtualization environment (VMWare, or equivalent). Automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, or SCCM). Systems monitoring (e.g., OpsView or Nagios). Experience with Windows Server system administration.
