Description: Serves as liaison librarian for science and applied science programs. This includes listening, engaging, consulting, information literacy instruction, and collection management. Buys, monitors, and cancels collection resources, and participates and advocates as part of group decision-making. Communicates with vendors and works closely with library technical services. Becomes skilled as a liaison to best serve assigned departments. Engages in an active scholarship and professional service. Reports to Coordinator of Collection Management Services.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s or equivalent advanced degree. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated interest in sciences or applied sciences. Knowledge of collection management practices. Potential to teach or consult with studentresearchers or faculty researchers. Basic experience collecting and analyzing data to make decisions.
Salary: $54,000 – $62,000
