Description: WCPL is hiring an Adult Services Librarian for its Oberlin Regional Library (Raleigh) to focus on new adults to seniors. You will work in a regional library in the Adult Services Department with a team of librarians and library assistants dedicated to offering quality service and dynamic programming to the community. Beyond developing programs and offering one-on-one professional services, Librarians provide reference, readers’ advisory and circulation assistance. Librarians are offered the opportunity to collaborate with managers and peers; and participate in system initiatives. Key responsibilities include planning, promoting and presenting programs and services for new adults through seniors. Working directly with the public on a service desk providing circulation and informational assistance. Maintaining and merchandising areas of the adult collections. Taking a lead with Library Assistants assigned to assist in the delivery of programs.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program No specific experience required Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted.
