Description: High Point University is currently seeking a full-time Librarian and Health Sciences Liaison in the Wanek Center. This position effectively works with library staff to provide reference and instruction services to the Health and Sciences programs at High Point University. They will act as a liaison to the science and health sciences programs at High Point University and works in conjunction with the other library staff to provide in-person reference services to a health and life sciences undergraduate and graduate student population. This librarian will prepare and teach in-person and online library research instruction in health, health care and other science areas and will evaluate potential acquisitions of library materials in collaboration with science faculty and the library director that support the health sciences program and curriculum.
Qualifications: MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited library school required. Undergraduate degree in a science or healthcare field strongly preferred. Experience in an academic library setting. Experience in a health or science field.
