Description: The primary purpose of the Access Service Librarian is to provide direction and leadership for access to library services, including use of spaces, circulation of library resources (books, media, technology, and other lending resources), electronic and traditional reserves, stack maintenance, interlibrary loan, distance education and participates in library committees and the library’s information literacy initiatives. This position serves as a direct liaison for the Library to the University Bookstore, which shares space in the Chesnutt Library building. This position supervises and evaluates staff, drafts policy and procedures and related workflow, and resolves problems and other issues relating to public services. This position manages the library’s integrated library system (ILS). The Access Services unit consists of 3 FTE permanent staff and approximately 15 Student Assistants.
Qualifications: MLS is from an ALA-accredited program at an accredited institution or higher education. Experience working in an academic library and operating in a library. Experience with Library ILS and related systems. Relevant Library and supervisory experience.
Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00
