Description: An employee in this position acts as primary assistant to the technical services manager; may regularly act as Team Lead in absence of department manager. Responsible for overseeing the general workflow of the department’s acquisitions and processing duties and tracking outstanding orders. Employee maintains accurate financial records, copies and edits catalog records for the Integrated Library System (ILS) and supervises adult and juvenile paperback standing orders as well as direct orders and cancellations. Tracks grant funds for the collection development division. Copies bibliographic records (various formats) from OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) applies locally established edits, assigns Dewey Decimal classification number, and downloads into the library’s ILS (Integrated Library System). Physically processes the materials for use by staff and the public (labeling, taping, stamping, applying security devices, etc.).

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in library science. Management would prefer applicant have Public library cataloging experience and knowledge of Evergreen ILS.

Salary: $47,331.34
