The Adult Programming and Information Librarian at the Main Library in Newton is a public service position that provides responsive reference and technology assistance for diverse needs and implements a vibrant series of adult programs and services in the library and in the community.

Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Library Science (ALA accredited preferred), with a preference for prior professional public library experience
Additional requirements:
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Ability to maintain excellent working relationships with staff, other County employees, community leaders, and the general public, which includes promoting community interest in library services
- Considerable knowledge and experience of library services, technologies, and platforms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong analytical thinking skills
- Willingness to obtain Notary Public (upon employment)
- Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) preferred
- Position is considered light duty, lifting up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
Salary: $48,407.24 (Negotiable Dependent Upon Qualifications)
