Description: This Librarian I position supervises the daily operations and staff of Rowan Public Library’s West Branch in Cleveland and reports to the Branch Operations Manager. This position performs multifaced professional library work; provides personal assistance to users in pursuit of information; plans and conducts branch programs; identifies, initiates and develops community partnership opportunities; determines user needs and assists in developing ways to improve branch services; assists with collection maintenance; and performs related duties as assigned; evening and weekend work required. Must be enthusiastic, customer-driven, solution-focused, and team centered.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Library Science and/or Information Science or equivalent combination of education and experience; ALA accredited degree preferred. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. Experience working with the public in a library and NC Public Library Certification eligibility preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
Salary: $45,700 - $50,200
