DESCRIPTION
The Lee County Library is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Librarian II- Adult Services. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and facilitating adult programming, reference, local history, and technology reflecting the interests and needs of Lee County communities. This position will collaborate with the programming team of Lee County Libraries ensuring each age, ability, and need are addressed fully inside the library buildings and out in the community. The Adult Services Librarian will create relationships with community members, county departments, outside organizations, and educational institutions to provide meaningful opportunities for our adult users. This position will be charged with creating welcoming and open access to all Adult Services including technology and local history resources and reference needs. Work will be performed under the general direction of the Community Engagement Librarian III and the Director of Library Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in library science from a college/university accredited by the American Library Association. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory level experience working in a public library in programming with a focus in Adult Services. Strong technology background and excellent customer service skills required. Experience with computers, marketing/social media, and/or the Evergreen ILS preferred. Preference will be given to bilingual candidates.
SALARY
$57,091 / Annually
