DESCRIPTION
The Librarian II: Branch Manager will provide strategic and functional oversight for the May Memorial Library in Burlington, NC, foster collaborative relationships with employees, peers, and community, create an environment that supports change, encourages progress, and promotes empowerment.
Strong leaderships abilities and a proven work ethic a necessary to lead a team of sixteen employees, plan and implement programs, troubleshoot day-to-day challenges, including interactions with the housed or upset patrons, and foster community relationships in the city of Burlington.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree with 2 to 3 years of professional library experience in a public library with the ability to obtain NC Public Library Certification within six months
OR Some college with 5 or more years full-time experience working in a public library with supervisory responsibilities;
Experience with computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database;
SALARY
$55,425 – $60,000 / ANNUALLY
