Description: Alamance County Public Libraries (ACPL) is seeking a Librarian II / Community Engagement Librarian with experience coordinating county-wide planning and provision of library events, learning programs and outreach services. The Community Engagement Librarian will develop partnerships with residents, community leaders, and community organizations across diverse populations and offer expertise, leadership, and guidance to the outreach and programming team for producing thoughtful, creative, and useful programs, resources, and services in response to those partnerships. The librarian will promote library programs, resources, and services to create awareness and engagement with the library. This position supervises the Home-Bound Books program as well as the Mobile Café and Mobile Library (bookmobile) and the Adult and Youth Programming Coordinators.
Qualifications: Completion of a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution; Proficiency and experience in marketing and communications preferred; Proficiency and experience in programming preferred; Experience with all levels of project management from planning to evaluation; Flexibility in scheduling is required; Ability to speak Spanish is highly desired.
Salary: $44,380
