Description: The Conover Branch Librarian plans, promotes, and implements engaging programs for all ages and provides responsive reference and research assistance for diverse customers’ information needs. This is a public service position responsible for working cooperatively with other members of the library team to provide expertise to customers with computer and technology use, career and job help, collection development, and to participate in outreach and collaborative efforts in the community. This is also a leadership position, responsible for daily branch operations including opening, closing, supervising staff workflows, and responding to difficult situations. The work schedule includes day, evening and Saturday hours, and is located primarily at the Conover Branch Library.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited preferred) and 1 year of professional librarian experience.
