Librarian II / Youth Services Supervisor - Rowan Public Library System

Description: Performs multifaceted professional library work with an emphasis on services targeted to children, preschool through sixth grade; performs system-wide planning; assists in the evaluation of services; supervises several staff members which includes: hiring, training, and evaluation of work performance; oversees daily management of Children’s Services at the library’s headquarters and participates in the library’s management team; serves on various community boards; participates in the evaluation and regular updating of the Library’s Strategic Plan; assists in development and implementation of special programing for the library system. Includes evening and weekend rotation; develops collections of library materials including books, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources; presents children's programs; and manages youth services for the entire library system including the mobile services to pre-K child care centers. Must be enthusiastic, customer driven and team centered.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science and one year of Public Library experience. Degree/Coursework must be from an appropriately accredited institution. Supervisory experience preferred.

Salary: $46,100 - $50,700, with benefits package
