Description: The Division Manager supervises all activities of the children's division and manages a staff of six full-time and four part-time staff. The Division Manager also serves as a member of the library's executive management team, and as such, helps develop objectives, policies and procedures not only for the children's division, but for the library as a whole. The division manager is responsible for training staff, overseeing collection development, and maintaining financial records for all children's services activities.
Qualifications: An ALA-accredited MLS is required as well as a minimum of three years experience working in children's services in a public library setting. The applicant must possess a broad knowledge of children's literature.
