Description: Catawba County Library System is recruiting for a professional Librarian III with excellent customer and information services, programming, collaboration, and outreach skills, who is enthusiastic about the value of early literacy and lifelong learning. The County seeks a superior coach and facilitator who can inspire teamwork and commitment while serving as the supervising librarian at the St. Stephens Branch Library. This Librarian III position will help implement the library’s comprehensive vision and mission - to empower lives and build our community by bringing people, information and ideas together. As the supervising librarian, this position facilitates and provides professional library services to customers of all ages, meeting the needs of the St. Stephens community and overseeing branch operations and personnel. Schedule includes rotating evenings and weekend to open/close library.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Library Science and 2 years of professional librarian experience; NC Public Library Certification; Experience showing excellence in customer service, library leadership and administration, and collaboration; Highly motivated, with initiative and ability to work successfully independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Salary: $51,815.97
