Description: The Librarian directs operations and staff of the Library, manages the Library budget, and administers all activities in the areas of reference, collection development, acquisitions, technical services, and the organization of materials. The Librarian provides the tools necessary to facilitate research by Museum staff members and patrons including, but not limited to, printed books, periodicals, auction catalogues, artists’ files, and electronic resources.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts degree or Master’s degree in art history or related field and demonstrated extensive knowledge of art history and art literature preferred. Demonstrated experience with library administrative practices, acquisitions, financial management, and library systems. Demonstrated experience providing reference assistance to library patrons.
