Description:
We are hiring a Public Services Librarian for our new Afton Branch (on track to open in early 2025). This branch shares a facility with an Active Living Center and is located in a busy shopping district. This position will oversee our public services department (circulation, reference, technology services, and adult programming), including directly supervising staff. Work will be performed under supervision of the Library Branch Manager.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an ALA accredited library school with MLIS and some experience in professional library work.
Management Preference:
- 3 years of public library experience
- 1 year of experience as a supervisor
- 1 year of scheduling experience.
- Enjoys working with people and excels at providing customer service
- Has excellent communication skills and is skilled at presenting to diverse groups
- Familiar with reader's advisory practices and a variety of authors and literary topics.
- Comfortable integrating technology and digital methods of service. Night and weekend availability required.
Salary: $49,316.80 - $58,968.00 Annually
