Description: The North Carolina General Assembly’s Legislative Analysis Division (LAD) is one of six divisions of the Legislative Services Office responsible for providing nonpartisan services to the 170 state Legislators and the entire legislative staff. The Legislative Library operates under LAD as an important resource for the Legislators and their staff. The Library Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for a database of information on appointments to various boards, commissions, and committees. This position provides general Library support as a nonpartisan employee to the Legislators and legislative staff, as well as provides limited services to other agencies and the public. Work is performed independently under the general guidance of the Legislative Librarian.

Qualifications: Associate degree and two years of library technical services experience; or Bachelor’s degree and one year of library experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary: $34,080 - $45,000
