DESCRIPTION
In this role, the candidate will promote ACPL’s mission and values while adhering to established policies and procedures. The purpose of this position is to support the informational, reference, and reading needs of library patrons of all ages and to perform any routine tasks necessary for the operation of the library system. This position reports to the Branch Manager and is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, benefited role that requires one evening shift per week as well as participation in a weekend rotation. Must be able to work flexible schedules.
Primary responsibilities include the creation of marketing materials for all Mebane programming, implementing monthly programming, working in the Circulation Department, cross-trained to work all service desks, creating displays, assisting with readers' advisory, and more.
QUALIFICAIONS
Minimum of some college coursework required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. One -Two (1-2) years of library, education, customer service, or related experience preferred. Experience working with diverse populations in community-facing roles strongly preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
