SUMMER ONLY! Position requires exemplary customer service skills and a commitment to outstanding service. The LAII assists our librarians with programming activities, events, & outreach at both library branches and off site within the county as needed. The position assists with library projects to promote and engage the community. Tasks may include creating displays, craft kits, posters, flyers, press releases, etc. On occasion, the LAII will take lead in coordinating a program or supporting outreach events. Will also be responsible for ensuring the supplies and materials are prepped and ready for various programs and events and managing schedules and activity calendars for library staff. Will be trained and scheduled to assist at the circulation desk as needed and will be required to work evenings and weekends. This position is a “summer job” however does request availability on the 3rd Saturday of August to assist at the annual POP!-con event.

Qualifications

Associate degree with public library experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years’ work experience in library or office/programming setting. Experience working with children a plus. Computer skills and excellent customer service skills are required. Experience with Evergreen ILS preferred, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
