Description: Within this role the candidate will promote ACPL’s values and mission while following established policies and procedures. This position is responsible for Children’s Services functions under the supervision of the Branch Manager. This position is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefitted position including one evening per week and weekend rotation.
The successful applicant will possess a proven dedication to providing excellent customer service. Candidates must possess strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, flexible, creative and enthusiastic while having a passion for children’s literature with an ability to stay up to date on children’s reading trends.

Education & Experience:
College degree and previous supervisory and customer service experience is required. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Proficiency in written and verbal communication is required. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach the top and bottom of shelves, lift 40lbs as well as push and pull loaded book carts is required.
Children’s programming and previous library experience is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
