Description: The Collection Technician provides access to the Government and Heritage Library (GHL) collections through shelving books, newspapers, microfilm, periodicals, and state and federal docs in all collection areas as they are received from cataloging and/or returned from ILL, resource sharing, circulation, or in-house use. This position provides support for the Cardinal Resource sharing program by assisting with unpacking, processing, and shelving returned materials, and preparing outgoing materials for shipping; and also assists in collection management activities such as stacks maintenance, weeding, shifting, inventories, and repairing collections as assigned.
Qualifications: High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience using standard integrated library systems (Evergreen, Alma, OCLC WorldShare). Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds and be able to unpack, shelve, and shift large quantities of library materials.
Salary: $32,703 - $38,928
