DESCRIPTION
The Library Outreach Coordinator is a fulltime position and must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed to include evenings and weekends. This position is responsible for developing Outreach collaborations/relationships that promote library service, customer relations, and relevant programs for Forsyth County residents (including adults in transition, adult group homes, elderly/disabled adults or groups, young adults/teens, intergenerational or family groups and children's audiences). This position operates county vehicles while providing Outreach services to locations throughout Forsyth County.
Duties include: circulating materials to library customers from the mobile library/bookmobiles and management of designated collections. Program planning/facilitation of relative library programs/services for all ages, materials processing, displays, marketing the collection, processing library cards, and various clerical duties. Most of the work will consist of programing and promoting library services in the community. Duties require bending/stretching/squatting, pushing book trucks weighing up to 50 lbs., and lifting bins weighing up to 25lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED and two years of library experience. A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement. Maintain a valid drivers license.
SALARY
$37,107.20 to $42,681.60 annually
