Description: The Library Director coordinates, supervises and directs the activities of the Carteret County Public Library System that is made up of 5 branches in Carteret County, NC. The Director oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of library programs and services. Duties are performed under the supervision of the County Manager.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science or library information science and a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible library experience including at least three (3) years of library supervision and administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be eligible for or possess NC Public Librarian Certification.
