Description: In accordance with the Library's Mission Statement, strategic direction and policies established by the Board of Trustees and the County Commissioners and Administration, the Director provides executive leadership and management over the Wilson County Public Library, and associated branch libraries. The Director must be significantly engaged with the community, library users, and all other local organizations seeking to foster knowledge, and innovation to foster a vital future for our community. The Director will actively build upon the high level of customer service at the WCPL. The Director will give priority to developing a wide range of learning platforms, including user led experiences; digital and virtual platforms; as well as to facilitating access to rapidly changing technological innovations for our community.
Qualifications: Master's in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution or from a regionally accredited school of higher learning Ability to obtain North Carolina Librarian Certificate Three or more years of public library experience.
Salary: $76,656 - $129,552
