Description: Wake County Public Libraries (WCPL) seeks a dynamic and visionary IT Manager / Senior Library Manager of IT (Library Division Manager) to join our Leadership Team. This senior-level position serves as a core member of the Library Leadership Team and oversees the library’s technology services, IT operations, and online presence, ensuring that technology supports WCPL’s focus on access, equity, literacy, and lifelong learning. The IT Manager is expected to be a forward-thinking leader who can anticipate trends in the IT realm, champion innovation, and move library technology initiatives from concept to implementation. This role requires balancing strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring that WCPL is positioned as a leader in digital services and community-centered technology. 

Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program. Three years of professional public library experience, including one year of public library management experience. Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted. Preffered: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Five years of progressively responsible IT management experience, preferably in a public library or public sector setting. Experience with integrated library systems (ILS), discovery layers, and e-resource platforms. Experience supervising staff. Experience managing complex projects.
