Description: The selected candidate will be a fully integrated library team member and will be trained and involved in all library operations including reference and bibliometrics, cataloging, document delivery, scholarly communication, instruction, and outreach / marketing. The fellow will receive substantial training and gain valuable professional experience in a science library. The candidate will be part of a highly professional, results-oriented library team at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The fellowship is a two-year training position.
Qualifications: The incumbent must have an ALA-accredited master's degree in library or information science and have knowledge of library principles, concepts, and methodology. A background in science or work in scientific / biomedical settings a plus. Excellent customer-service skills and orientation are required.
