Description: This position assists with the planning, coordination and implementation of age appropriate activities and programs for children (infant to Teens) and their caregivers. The successful candidate will prepare and conduct story times, provide information about library services and materials and Every Child Ready to Read principles. Knowledge of literature for children and teens, and an understanding of youth development and behavior are essential. The successful candidate will prepare and conduct story times, provide information about library services and materials and Every Child Ready to Read principles. Knowledge of literature for children and teens, and an understanding of youth development and behavior are essential. Plans, prepares and presents library programming for infants to Teens, including Storytime, STEM and additional programs to create new experiences for young patrons; provides outreach services to the community; and developing and scheduling special programming.
Qualification: Associates/Technical degree with coursework in library science, or related field and moderate experience working in a library, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license is required.
Salary: $14.56 - $18.93 per hour
